Getting around Lincoln

Lincoln has a large taxi rank directly outside Lincoln train station which encompasses numerous local taxi companies who can transport you around Lincoln. For more information on taxi companies in Lincoln, including telephone numbers, please click here.

Bishop Grosseteste University is within walking distance (30 minutes) of the bus and train station, but please be aware that the walk is up the aptly-named Steep Hill.

There are ‘Walk and Ride’ buses (further information here) which link uphill and downhill Lincoln. These buses run from 9:10am until 5:22pm.
There are 11 stops which span the city, including stops at the Collection & Usher Gallery, Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle and many more. The nearest stops to BGU are the Bailgate and Lincoln Hotel.
For adults, a single ticket is £1.50 and all day is £3.00.
